Mack 8 Barge Upgrade Business Case

Nature of the Project: The Chief Operating Officer for the Tseshaht Nation ran into Mr. Marshall at the City of Port Alberni City Hall on a Friday Afternoon. She said she needed a business plan for one of the Nation’s business units by Monday. She asked if Mr. Marshall could get on done on time. He met with the Tseshaht’s Director of Finance within 20 minutes and accepted the assignment.

Scope: Mr. Marshall delivered a “Business Case” for the upgrade of the company barge, the only roll-on, roll-off barge oon the west coast of the island to the Director of Finance on time. He did not charge for this work on the basis of business development for Capital EDC Economic Development Company future prospects with the Corporation. The company was successful in securing the funding for the upgrade and the work has been completed.
